Our Auxiliary Wardrooms are a virtual extension of those found aboard ship. As aboard ship the Wardroom is the domain of the senior officers.
The Wardroom holds various events in support of its ship and in the spirit of friendship.
Meeting quarterly for a joint mess dinner, members and ships officers sit together to break bread and secure those bonds of friendship from which the BWA emerged.
The mess dinners are conducted as if aboard ship, employed the same protocols and observing the time honoured traditions of the senior service, with of course, some adaption for civilians and the on-shore environment.

Distinguished guest speakers are invited from the Royal Navy to give perhaps a preview of their role, discuss the challenges faced on deployments or threats they may encounter. The presentations serve to expand members understanding of the role of the RN, of life aboard and the magnificence of our modern warships.
